So you are a designer or a writer too or are wanting to get started but are not sure how to? Well here are my recommended design and writing tools. This is a list of the tools I use on a daily or regular basis. Some of the links are affiliate links which means that I get a small commission if you use them, but I only recommend tools that I know and trust.
I use Adobe Creative Cloud. It is the professional design tool that is used across the design industry. The main apps I use are Indesign for design and layout, Photoshop for photo editing and Illustrator for some graphic work. I also recommend an Apple mac.
I am a big fan of Creative Market for resources such as fonts and photos, but there is so much more that you can buy. You also are supporting other creatives when you buy there because it is a shop front for individual creatives. I also love that every week they give away six free resources.

Really all you need to write is a pen and paper right? Yes. But then you might want to share those words with a reader and then you might want to work with publishers and take your writing a bit more seriously so here is some further help to get you started.
Writing can be a solitary occupation and although many of us like to write alone, we need community. A community to ask questions about the writing life and career. I am a member of Hope*writers. Hope*writers offers training on how to write and share your work without feeling yucky and how to have a sustainable writing life.
Writing emails regularly to your readers is a great way to connect with them. I use Convertkit for email. I love the way you can have different forms for sign-ups and organise your email lists.
Publishing and printing tools
My favourite online printer is printed.com
I use blurb for printing photobooks. My first self-published books were published with them.
